At Me’Jari Independent Living, our goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and structured environment for individuals seeking a fresh start. To ensure the best fit for our program and community, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Basic Requirements

• Age: 18 years or older

• Seniors

• U.S. Veterans

• Domestic violence survivors

• Individuals re-entering society

• Job Corps graduates and young adults

• Residency Status: U.S. citizen or legal resident

• Identification: Valid government - issued photo ID

• Income or Funding Source: Ability to pay one time commission fee, and monthly rent through SSI/SSDI, VA & VASH benefits, private pay, or program vouchers

Personal Criteria

• Must be able to live independently without 24-hour supervision

• Willing to participate in community guidelines and house meetings

• Demonstrates respect for others and shared spaces

• Committed to maintaining a drug, alcohol, and violence free lifestyle

 Health & Wellness

• Able to manage personal medical needs and medications independently
